Perry Danos Sings The Songs Of Bob Levy

“Who says dreams can't come true?”, says Bob Levy. His new CD, “Out In the Cold” has just been released. This is Levy’s first jazz CD, after ten years of writing country songs for many Nashville artists. Bob went back to his jazz roots for this exciting CD of ‘New Jazz Standards’ that evokes memories of Frank Sinatra and Mel Torme classics. For those of you who have said, “They don't write songs like they used to anymore”, Levy’s “Out In The Cold” is the CD for you; Rich ballads, romantic bossa novas and swing. Levy started writing in his twenties with multi-talented singer/songwriter Ronny Whyte for his New York City Cabaret act. He later collaborated with composer and record producer Boris Midney on two songs, “Step Right In” and “It’s Up To You Now” that were recorded by Mercury Records in New York. Levy has recently started collaborating with Karen Jacobsen, the talented Australian Singer/Songwriter.

Levy’s songs on "Out In the Cold" are performed by Perry Danos. “Perry Danos is the perfect blend of Harry Connick, Jr., Tony Bennett and Michael Buble. His warm, rich voice and natural delivery goes right to the heart of a jazz song. Danos’ style and interpretation are uniquely his own”, says Levy. Joining Danos on this CD is Shelly Miller whose silky voice is reminiscent of Grammy winner Norah Jones. Bob’s special guest is Dane Vannatter, Back Stage Magazine’s 2006 Bistro Award Winner. Dane has recorded Levy’s songs, “What Are We Doing Here?” and “Out In the Cold” which he has been performing at Danny’s Skylight Room in New York City as well as jazz clubs in the Boston area.
