LimeWire Ready To Pay Songwriters?
SGA President Rick Carnes spends more time on Capitol Hill than he does in his modest Nashville home writing music and studying jazz guitar. While in Washington DC he works to educate legislators about the financial hardships faced by songwriters in today's technological and economic climate. |

As part of his regular blog, Rick comments, this week, on the recent landmark ruling against LimeWire. A popular peer-to-peer file sharing network responsible for rampant music piracy, LimeWire is being held responsible for knowingly facilitating copyright infringement on a massive scale. The ruling against the company could result in the ruin of the P2P network -- though LimeWire is now seeking to mend fences with the music industry.
Come take a look at Rick's recent blog where he comments on the LimeWire ruling. While you're there, let us know how you think LimeWire should be dealt with from a songwriters' point of view. The industry could benefit from your voice on the matter and Rick will think his time away from Nashville and his guitar collection is a little less painful.
