Tunesmithing
Continues Strong If you haven’t yet been out to Tunesmithing at Borders on West End in Nashville, you are missing out on some entertaining performances and inspiring songs! Yes, Nashville is a city where waitresses, bartenders, retail clerks, real estate agents, sales people, delivery folks and all sorts of people are songwriters. And the past two months have continued to prove that there is not any lack of depth or talent here in Nashville and beyond—whether or not the writer is commercially successful or just trying to break in to the business and get his or her first break! Tunesmithing continues to demonstrate the power of songs and songwriters! In the past two months, despite severe weather and storms, we have had good attendance at the shows featuring a great bunch of songwriters performing in all sorts of genres from Christian to country to R&B and folk. Our guest performers have been Roy Holdren, The McGuires, Traci Root, Dwight Liles, Rick Carnes (our SGA President) and Janis Carnes, Toni Seibert, Branan Logan, Kathy Hussey and Matt Brouwer. Thank
you to all of the songwriters who have participated in Tunesmithing and
who continue to share their music with all of us! For more information on Tunesmithing or to be considered for a future performance, please contact either Kimberly Maiers Shaw at nash@songwritersguild.com or Chuck Whiting at chucwhit@usit.net.
