Harriet, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you share an important lesson you learned in a prior job that’s helped you in your career afterwards?

Shortly after I came to Los Angeles, I started performing my songs in clubs. But in order to make a living, before I got my first publishing deal, I worked as an advertising copywriter. Even though that kind of writing is wildly different from songwriting, I learned quite a few things that helped me as a songwriter.
