Location, location, location. I like the idea of virtual collaboration. Does that get traction, too. What da yah think? What are your experiences. I'm open to both. - feeling happy

Laurie Stevens One of the major reasons we're opening free memberships is because we want to increase the likelihood that members can find others with whom they can co-write. I think virtual collaboration is so much easier now there's no reason NOT to consider it. I'm sure being in the same room allows for riffing off one another in a very intimate way but with things like Skype, you can still grab some of that intimate feel.

I think of when Bush the junior placed Cat Stevens (I don't know how to spell his Muslim name) on the no-fly list (yeah, the guy who wrote Peace Train was on the no travel list -- talk about irony). Anyway, Dolly Parton reportedly wrote him and collaborated with him virtually. So, this is definitely an idea whose time has come. Nothing like beating the luddites who try to hold us down! 6 years ago
